Growing up in the hills of East Tennessee Preston Benfield was exposed to all different genres of music. He started playing bluegrass and country music at an early age in his hometown of Roan Mountain. In the last several years Preston has found the right combination of band members, Jonathan Grindstaff (lead guitar), Drew Blackwell (Bass) and Chase Blackwell (Drums). The band members grew up just right down the road from each other and always wanted to form a band that was all about the music. Together the Preston Benfield Band has evolved into a musical style that encompasses that of country, southern rock, blues and even a hint of bluegrass. The Preston Benfield band has been making its way to a variety of venues and just keep gaining in popularity. With a show that is packed with nonstop real authentic music that is true to its roots.
